SANBlaze adds the SANBlazter Initiator Emulator to it's family of storage emulation systems.

Orlando, FL and Maynard, MA - November 1, 2006 -- SANBlaze Technology, Inc., a pioneer in storage emulation technologies, today introduced the SANBlazter Initiator Emulation system for Fibre Channel, adding initiator and host emulation capabilities to it's growing family of storage emulation systems. The SANBlazter functionality is available for Fibre Channel in 2, 4, 12 or 24 port configurations, with the ability to easily cascade multiple systems together to provide Initiator emulation for 100's of systems with a single, easily to use, coordinated user interface. The product provides storage development and test engineers a scalable and full performance environment to simulate initiators for a fraction of the cost, space, power and management overhead associated with the racks and racks of PC's that it replaces.

The patent pending Blazter mode allows for all ports to run at full Fibre Channel speeds, allowing for very high performance testing. The system provides full read/write/compare testing, and can interface with industry standard tools such as IOmeter to minimize start up time, utilizing already known test tools. A command builder allows developers to send specific commands and sequences. As with all SANBlaze products, all features can be run from an easy to use Web interface, or via script either on the system or remotely.

The SANBlazter Initiator Emulation product is available on all existing SANBlaze Fibre Channel systems standalone, or can be purchased in conjunction or as an addition to SANBlaze target emulation software. When combined with Target Emulation, the system provides a unique test tool that can drive both sides of a system under test, and calculate latency and throughput rates, for example.

The SANBlaze product is in Beta test right now, and scheduled to ship in December, 2006. Pricing begins at $24995.
