September 2012, Littleton, MA, –  SANBlaze Technology, Inc  today announced it has begun delivering an enhanced version of its storage blade software.  The new 1.1 software release features include: performance enhancements utilizing Hybrid RAID / CacheCade, Remote SNMP and Serial-Over-Lan (SOL) support.  In addition, SANBlaze continues to revolutionize the bandwidth, capacity, and capabilities of AdvancedTCA in-chassis storage.

Hybrid Raid/CacheCade technology enables the creation of hybrid RAID volumes that contain a combination of rotating and SSD disks.  The hybrid drive learns your data usage patterns and caches the most frequently used data to produce 2-10x more I/O performance than rotating disks working alone.

With SNMP, users can remotely find, indentify, and monitor over 500 storage-specific statistics using the enterprise's existing Ethernet network.

The "Serial-Over-Lan" feature enables users to redirect serial console output over the ATCA base Ethernet ports.    The technology can reduce deployment costs by eliminating the need to purchase separate external serial device servers or Rear Transition Modules.

The ATCA2000 RAID Blade eliminates the cost, space, management and power requirements of an external storage device without losing any functionality and performance. The ATCA2000 improves system MTBF, system performance and system capacity, in a single slot ATCA footprint.

Release 1.1 is available now for new and existing ATCA2000 customers.
