Maynard, MA, October 30, 2007 -- SANBlaze Technology, Inc., a leading provider of target and initiator emulators, today introduced Version 4.0 software for SANBlaze storage emulation systems. The latest version brings together powerful target and initiator emulation functionality to meet a wide range of test requirements.

Target emulation now includes the ability to emulate vendor specific disk array and tape library devices. Users can choose from a list of profiles provided by SANBlaze or use Auto-Profiler to connect to an actual system and generate their own profile. Users can modify profiles to customize the size, configuration and behavior of the emulated array or tape library.

Initiator emulation now supports NPIV allowing users to test against thousands of host devices which was previously impractical using actual PCs and HBAs. In addition to NPIV support, the latest initiator provides tape functionality allowing an engineer to build complex scripts that exercise tape devices.

Version 4.0 runs on existing Fibre Channel and SAS appliances. New 4.0 systems are available in various port count and memory configuration options. Version 4.0 includes a command line and web based interface, and a multi-system management interface.
